Project description

This 50-year-old, three (3)-story police headquarters building included hazardous material remediation & removal, replacement of foundation wall during demolition operations. This was one of the first Virtual Routing and Forwarding (VRF) system replacement projects in Anne Arundel County, Maryland.

DFI provided Resident Construction Inspection services for the removal of the existing air handling unit, exhaust fans, condensing units, chiller, boilers, heating water pumps, chilled water pumps, cooling tower and all associated accessories for this police facility renovation project. Further construction work entailed the installation of new make-up air handling unit and Virtual Routing and Forwarding (VRF) system, including associated terminal units, refrigerant piping, branch selector manifolds, ventilation ductwork, dampers electrical connections, heat recovery controllers, ceiling cassettes, condensate/drain piping and all other system utilities, the removal and replacement of curtain wall window systems including main entrance curtain window wall and the replacement of the existing elevator controls and cab.
