Project description

The renovated South Glen Burnie Fire Station, which was originally built in the early 1970s, enjoys new & expanded amenities and capabilities for the fire company.

DFI provided Construction Management and Inspection (CM&I) services for the additions and renovations to the existing fire station, including:

  • Expansion of the fire station apparatus bay.
  • Interior renovations included, new bathrooms, bunkrooms, lockers and office.
  • Site work improvements.

DFI’s significant contribution to the project included early identification of blocked exiting utility lines and coordination with the Contractor for removal and replacement of failed under-slab storm and sanitary sewer, which had exceeded the pipe material life span.
