Project description

The Downs Park Amphitheater project required full demolition of the existing, outdated amphitheater with a nouvelle contemporary design. Attention to detail for hurricane resistant engineering and fashionable finishes created a pleasant outing for the enjoyment of the arts.

Development Facilitators, Inc. (DFI) provided Construction Management and Inspection (CM&I) services for the project, located in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. Work included the demolition of the existing amphitheater and related site improvements, such as sediment control, Storm Water Management (SWM) structures and landscape work. The project consisted of the construction of the new amphitheater structure, enclosed dressing rooms and storage rooms. Site improvements for the site included electrical, Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC), a concrete bridge and solar panel system. Additional project work included the coordination of the installation of the sound system, video screens, controls, stage lighting and Wi-Fi antenna.
