Development Facilitators, Inc. (DFI) designed and secured site development and grading plan approvals for a multi-building retail, office and educational facility. The design of the commercial complex included a parking space parking lot design which is designed to provide ADA compliant access to both buildings. The site design is required frontage improvements to Carver Road and MD Route 3 which included drainage improvements, striping plan, culvert analysis and maintenance of traffic plans. Topographic and boundary surveys were prepared by DFI for on-site and frontage improvements. Multiple feasibility layouts were prepared in conjunction with input from the developer to maximize access to the site. The on-site design utilized an underground extended detention/infiltration system to provide water quality and quantity management. The storm drain system incorporated oversized sump trenches to provide pre-treatment to the drainage prior to entering the infiltration trench. The site design plans included on-site landscaping in accordance with the Anne Arundel County Landscape Manual and site lighting. DFI secured site development plan and grading permit plan approval for the project. Other plans required for approval included water and sewer plans, forest stand and forest conservation plans, and site landscape plans.
