DFI has completed the project which built a new police station in Pasadena, MD. Construction for the Eastern District Police Station began in August of 2013 and was finished in April 2015. DFI provided the Construction Management, inspection, and material testing. Clearing & grubbing, demolition, E&SC, and MOT were monitored by DFI for general compliance and all building and facility components.
The building consists of two stories furnished with new technology, a gym, separate locker rooms, booking area and holding cells, and administrative and meeting rooms. The station is LEED® “Silver” certified. Also included in this new police station is an automatic fire alarm equipped with complete smoke detectors and an automated voice communication system in case of emergencies.
The enhanced stormwater management and landscaping contributes to reducing the sediment runoff, and the public sewer expansion serves as betterment to the community and alleviates failing septic systems. Compared to the old station, this new building is a first class facility that the police department deserves.
