DFI provides full time project management and multiple resident construction inspectors to Baltimore County Department of Public Works. Inspection projects for the county include the construction/upgrade/maintenance of: pumping stations, water towers, water and sanitary sewer lines, storm drain and related facilities.
Typical projects have included the complete rehabilitation and retrofit of numerous pumping stations which involve all underground vaults, mechanics, valves, piping, electrical & electronics and housings. Other projects have required the construction of and retrofit of water towers; construction of a new major 42” water transmission line through Towson; construction of multiple water, sanitary and storm drain lines.; the cleaning, maintenance and re-lining sanitary lines to include laterals; manhole maintenance and repair.
Our inspection staff is also responsible for the inspection of county facilities as related to new residential and commercial development. This includes all water, sanitary and storm drain, curb & gutter, sidewalks, sub-base, base and surface paving within the county right-of-way.
