DFI provided inspection and materials testing for the construction of a runway intersection at BWI Airport. Duties included scheduling and verifying all inspection and testing activities, compliance with BWI, maintain as-built drawings for in-pavement and taxiway edge lights, bidirectional runway elevated lights, trace wires, and antenna platform among other airport structures.
DFI provided review and worked to obtain Maryland Aviation Administration (MAA) burn permits, reviewed safety and security plans, height of equipment plans, coordinated with MAA and FAA officials and Airlines.
DFI also conducted electrical inspection for Piers C & D Apron Construction project. DFI was responsible for performing construction inspection of new duct banks and electrical vaults as well as visual inspection of the installation of high voltage and communication cabling. Compliance with BWI personnel included the observation of major shut downs and reboot of systems. Project also involved inspection of a new run way lighting core drilling, pulling cabling, splicing, and installation of light fixture to BWI specification and clearances.
